Can The Honda Fit Tow?
The answer to this question depends on where you live. The new Honda Fit (labeled the Jazz) is offered in non-American markets and can tow up to 2,000 lbs if hooked to a braked trailer and 992 lbs unbraked. While this maximum towing weight may not seem like much, it is standard as far as other sub-compact cars go.
Any American-made Honda Fit is not designed for towing. Honda does not advise towing with the Honda Fit. If you plan to tow a small trailer anyway, you risk losing your warranty. In the 2020 Honda Fit owner’s manual, on page 405 are these words: “Your vehicle is not designed to tow a trailer. Attempting to do so can void your warranties.”

Accord Sedan
The Civic can tow up to 1,000 lbs of gross vehicle weight, according to the 2022 Accord’s owner manual.
HR-V
The 1.5L engine HR-Vs are not designed for towing. However, the 2.0L models can tow up to 1,000 lbs.
CRV
The towing capacity of the Honda CRV is 1,500 lbs. Any attempt to tow over this amount could seriously damage the vehicle.
Odyssey
The amount you can tow with a Honda Odyssey depends on the number of occupants in the vehicle. You should tow only with an approved tow hitch that has been installed by a certified technician.
Passport
The maximum towing capacity for the Honda Passport is based on the number of occupants riding in the SUV with you, depending on whether you have 4WD or 2WD. Honda advises not to tow during the first 600 - 1000 miles of ownership. The company bases the following weights on the assumption that every occupant weighs 150 lbs and the vehicle is equipped with a receiver hitch rated for the suitable capacity.
